The Estradiol (E2) Serum Test is a simple blood test that will measure the level of estradiol, an important estrogen hormone. Estradiol is critical to female reproductive health—controlling the menstrual cycle, ovulation and pregnancy—and plays a role in bone health and puberty. In men, estradiol can help to support reproductive and hormone balance. Process
- A small blood sample will be drawn from a vein (usually from the arm).
- The sample is taken to our laboratory where they will measure the levels of estradiol, most often using more specialized laboratory techniques.
When to Get Tested
