HbA1C shows your average blood sugar levels over the past 2–3 months, while the fasting sugar test measures your blood glucose after not eating for 8 hours. Process
- A small blood sample is taken from a vein in your arm.
- Fasting sugar requires you to fast for at least 8 hours before the test.
